Quick NEWS FLASH… The Chase Sapphire Preferred which is hands down one of the best travel credit cards, is having it’s highest elevated offer since 2021! The standard sign-up bonus for this card is 60,000 points after spending $3,000 in three months. This usually gets elevated each spring to 80,000 points, but rarely 100,000 points! This is whopping 40,000 points over the normal offer but it does require a higher $5,000 spend in three months.
This was my first ever card and is the card I recommend to folks without hesitation, whether your a beginner or expert!
The Chase Ultimate Rewards program is my FAVORITE reward program for it’s flexibility and value. It is an invaluable part of my points and miles strategy.

Why it’s so special

Pointers
Had the Card Before? If it’s been at least 4 years since you last earned a bonus, you could be eligible again! Just downgrade your current card to one of the bank’s no-annual fee options, give it a couple weeks, then reapply (you could also cancel and reapply).
Just Applied at a Lower Bonus? There’s hope! Chase has been know to match the higher bonuses if you send them a secure message through the website or give them a ring.
How to Use the Points?
Truly the options are endless! We tend to use the bulk of our Chase points on Hyatt stays. We also just used a bunch for our Air France tickets to Europe this winter, we sometimes supplement our Southwest points stash for domestic/MX/Costa Rica flights, and I’ve booked lodging and flights through their travel portal.
Some favorite Hyatt redemptions have been Secrets Maroma all-inclusive in MX, Alila Ventana Big Sur (a swanky eco food-inclusive resort), the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells in Palm Springs (epic waterslides), Noah Surf House in Portugal, and Martinhal Sagres in Portugal.

Hankering to use your points for some bucket-list business class flights over the big blue? Check out this article for the 20 best airfare redemptions with Chase Ultimate Rewards and a list of their travel partners. Remember you can often get outsized value by transferring your points to transfer partners (most especially with Hyatt lodging and upper class flights). For economy flights overseas, I do find that booking “cash” fares through the Chase travel portal at the 1.25 cents/point tends to a be a better redemption than transferring to travel partners.
Conclusion
Whether you just started travel hacking or you’ve been at it for years, this is THE CARD to have with an unbeatable 100k bonus! I would not sit on this elevated offer as it could end in as little as a 2-4 weeks based on historical data.
If you don’t have a friend or family member’s referral code, I’d be so hugely appreciative if you applied through my referral link. But obviously keep those points in house if possible (if your spouse has it, have them refer you, or vice versa)!
To traveling the world with our families!
